How much reliable is an Online Business?

Hi,

What do you think how much secure and reliable is an online business. Suppose if a person spends $50,000 and start an Online business and get visitors mainly from Google. If someday Google drops its ranking and there is a 70% decrease in earning.

In the above scenario how secure and reliable is an online business?

In my opinion it is 100% safe there are thousand of webmasters and many big enterprises and companies doing huge online business it is completely safe... And if some one is investing this much then he must have a strategy to keep on ranking to get customers... a regular seo efforts will be required, and I feel there should be a seperate team for this work in his company coz. the amount is quite fair so to maintain the ranking it is a must.. Be positive Google is not that much Cruel

 

Reliable in what way exactly?

You can make good money online, but it will be effected and have same issues and a real world business. You also do not need to spend $50,000.00 to start one.

The only industry, whether mainstream or adult, works like a real world business. Same economic effects of the real world are going to effect you to some degree. Especially in people's buying patterns, access to credit, discretionary spending, and so on. However, if you run it and treat it like a business. You will get to enjoy the flexibility of hours, and working from home in your panties. Which is a nice perk.

 

you can't depend completely on one thing........like google or DP.................as we are doing our business we have marketing executive to market our business in local area ...........DP for direct business...........and google ranking for visitors.............so it is 100% secure.........

 

It depends how much time you will put into it and all that

that's big investment ...it's secure....you can hire SEO person or image branding can be a solution....

 

If you are investing about $50,000 then that is not going to be a kids play.
There is serious money for serious players out there in internet.

You can rely your business completely on Google or for that matter on a single source.
If you really have to, then make sure that Google does not drop the ranking.

 

$50,000? very safe. why not agent some thing online? for example there are many china wholesalers finding oversea agent, you can have a try~~

 

it will be depend on the niche you are going to maintain, it is safe and very reliable. you will have aslo to invest on SEO and SEM to maintain your site on the SEs but I guess that you don't have to spend $50,000

 

I would ask why you are spending that unless it is a innovative technology?

Google being pissed. My strategy that I do my best to not have more then 20% strategy comes from any one source. That way if Google pissed, it would not hugely impact business.

I don't agree with it.
Normally business will hire SEO expert to manage their site ranking so there won't be drop ranking problem.
And what more important is company business is not 100% depend on SE,they do have their base customer.
