How much should I charge this guy

    Hey,

I own thedailyneopets.com and I have a person that is interested in advertising on my website. How much should (or could) I charge as a monthly fee?

Some dynamics: up to 80,000 unique visitors a month (varies depending on circumstances of the game), chatty audience that uses blogs/IM a lot, google
pr4 frontpage, high search engine rankings, audience is primarily teenagers
(minority is adults [w/ kids]), and internationally recognized as a great
    Neopets fan site.

I was thinking possibly $80-$100 USD a month? How would this sound? I'm only looking for an estimate....

$80-$100 sounds reasonable for the kind of traffic you are getting.
What kind of ad space are you offering? Banner or text ads?
You can also join an ad marketplace like mine (see sig) and let the advertisers bid on the space you are offering and decide how much it is worth in their eyes.

Yeah it's custom built CMS. I hate Joomla, Mambo, and other CMS's because they are so huge and complex, so I built my own to suit my needs. I'll probably be redoing the site layout and structure soon (*cough*ithink*cough* - i'm doing pretty well in search engines so I almost don't want to touch anything :p). The red is driving me a bit crazy.

So $80-$100 is good? Does anybody else have any other comments? Oh, and I'm not sure what kind of ad type this guy wants. I figure I should charge more for banner ads? Or, no, more for text ads (since it sends him PR)?? What do you guys think?

If I had a site related to yours I would pay that much ($100). So yeah seems about right.

I personally pay more for text Ads unless I had an awesome banner which was proven to get great clicks (which I dont!)

I would say charge him slight more for Text Ad as long as he gets a small description and its relatively exposed.

ur unique hits sounds a bit high considering it's only a pr4 - unless it's very new and climbing fast.

for pr 4 i would say $50 - $100 is in the right ball park

50 is good for him, and 100 is good for u

Yeah my PR has pretty much went up every time there's a PR update. I hope to be PR 5-6 (this is highly unusual for sites in my class).

I guess we should ask what type of advertisement? Text link? Banner? etc

    $80-$100 for text link

Upto $250 for a banner that is located in great placement... such as new posts or directly in the center.

I personally think around $50-80 would be about right. I guess different people will have different opinions on this.

50-80$ seems resonable to me but I think you should try opening an auction for that advertising space, it might earn you even more

should be around $ 75-120 depending on the link placement
sitewide or home page, and location of the advertisement in the page
