    Hello everyone,

I made a website for people who are learning English.

I am an English teacher and have worked for years... (I don't want to go into details)

I am asking students to send me their English homework in this forum and I am telling them that I will correct their grammar, add grammatical notes, show their mistakes and so on.

I said one page of homework (around 500 words) is $7.00 CND.

What do you think? Is this a good price or too much more students?

I will appreciate it very much if you could answer me.

    Thanks,

Idea is good and I think it to be a variety. But the success will depnd on how well you can communicate. Teaching requires excellant communication. I doubt you can have that just through the forum.

I think that's too expensive - $6 USD (£3 GBP) per page of corrections. I'm not an English teacher but I could do an A4 page of corrections in 5 minutes absolute maximum. By my reckoning that makes your rate about $75 per hour. This might be prohibitively expensive for a student giving you a multiple page assignment to correct. You're also getting them to send you their assignments electronically - you could simply run an automatic spelling/grammar check on them!

For most pupils that could be too expensive.
But many students from the university would definitely pay that price, if you really deliver high quality.

It depends on what you mean by homework. Do you want to check weekly 4 page essays that they are writing, or do you want to correct term papers and other important things. You have to consider demand and want.

I think your cahrge is too expensive, if you are in initial stage, it's always a good idea to lower the rates. Which will attract more users and later on u can increase the rates.
