I like to sleep 6-7 hours per night. 8 hours for weekend. If you want to sleep 8 hours constantly per night, that is too much. You have to spend 1/3rd of your days in sleeping!

For sleeping 8 hours is the best. But we can't follow it always.

Depends on your age and what you do during the day, but around 7 hours should be enough. Teenagers usually need more (around 8-9) older people (above 65) need much less and usually take naps during the day.

The ideal sleep duration is 7-8 hours so that’s what we should get every night to help keep our body and mind in their peak condition. Try to avoid caffeine during daytime if you can’t sleep at night. And follow these simple tips.

1: Stick to a sleep schedule
    2: Get comfortable
    3: Limit daytime naps
4: Include physical activity in your daily routine
    5: Manage stress

If all of this did not work try consulting a doctor so he can prescribe better medicine for you.

I try to get 6, 7 or 8 hours of sleep each night. I normally wake up at 5 AM and do some light cardio to wake up my body.

Here are a few things you can do to help with sleep.
    1. Get plenty of exercise and use up your energy, otherwise your body wont be tired when you want to go to sleep.
    2. Set your alarm for the time you want to wake up, and stick to it regardless of how late you go to sleep. Even if you only get 2-3 hours of sleep, your body will be tired the next night and you wont have any problems falling asleep.
    3. Turn off the lights an hour before bed so your body adjusts.
    4. Don't listen to any music, play video games or watch TV 1 hour before bed.
    5. Don't eat a big late dinner. Try to eat small dinner's and give yourself plenty of time to eat before going to bed.
