Dont worry our taxes are going to a "good cause" the Iraq war , "war on terror" and millions of wasted, missmanaged dollars for the Katrina relief. Don't hate the taxes, hate the people who take our money and waste it like there is no tomorrow.

Paying too much taxes this year here that's for sure.

Think of it in this way, if you have to pay a lot is because you earn a lot  . This year I'm going to get some $$$ back.

Thats not how people who earn alot think of it though. My dad got hit with £29,000 it still came as a shock to him he was expecting around £20,000.
How much is your tax rebate btw?

Tax is a burden. It's something that people wish they didn't have to pay, but we all have to pay it, I guess.

The best way to deal with something like this is to prepare your self before you see the amount that you have to pay.

I do this by putting a little bit of money away each week for my tax. So once I receive my tax bill I will then have the appropriate funds availabe to pay it.

Also, I good thing is that this money that I put away for the tax period also benefits from interest.

The best way to deal with it is move to Dubai - zero income tax and no VAT.

I thought it was slightly under £5k.

I guess that some people don't pay tax when they first start of because they have such a high start up cost.

For example if you art starting up in business then you will have a lot of outlay.

Starting up an internet business will mean that you may have to purchase computers, office equipment, stationary, web designers / programmers, pay interest on loans, etc.

Not all businesses make a profit the first, second and tired year.

If you are in affiliate marketing then it can take you some time before you actually start making any money.

OK, you need money to keep alive, but if you have savings then you could use that.

I have to pay taxes so this doesn't apply to me.
