What kind of employees? Labor as in data entry, or skilled tasks like programming?

For data entry you can get people to work for INR10,000 ($220)/month. Programming & the like...between INR20,000 to 100,000 each employee depending on who you hire. ($450 to $2000)

About $8500 of that will be one-time expenditure, including the rent security deposit, setting up the place, etc...

    Hi I am from India
See.. you planning to come to india is grt you can open an office her at a cheaper cost bcoz indian currency is in Rs. and if your currency is in $ then it means 45 indian rupees so I guess for a well furnished office in india including the land cost not on rent should be @ 50,000 $
hope this will give an idea to you
    bye - Sofia

i think kerala is the ideal place, since all other places are expensive (comparatively).Ernakulam and Trivandram are the best choices for this (both are places in kerala).the cost should be very less i guess.

office rent is not the important thing, the important thing is human resources.

India is probably cheaper, but the kind of staff you want aren't cheap. Cheaper than US and UK staff, but it wouldn't be much cheaper. Buildings arent much cheaper.

    hi,

I leave in canada and the rent for a small office is $400 - $700 at most. Thinking about it, this is cheap but can get expensive if you have no money.
If you think well, rent in india will probably not be as much as this. Start out small and expand later. If you really know what you are doing ... Then dont be scared. .......... Bite.

banglore , hyderabad are the cities you should look at if your business is IT centric in terms of rent, employees , etc both these cities will do the job.
Depends very much on what kind of space you are looking at, what type of business etc.

    See,
    The fact fact is..
If you want just less skilled labour for just data entry and processing it costs 5000 INR maximum which is close to 110$.
If you want coders/programmers you can get them at 25000 INR which is 600$ approx.
For rent, the 1500 sq feet office im in just costs about 200$ a month.
Other charges you will spend 200$ maximum.

So, excluding labour you will spend 400-500$ a month and including labour end up at 2000$ i guess.
But, these prices im talking about exist only here down south in chennai.
I suggest you come down here and have a look, theres a lot of talent at a cheap price.
I know all these details coz i have a set up here, and good luck on your adventure and outsourcing to india is a good idea :)
