How One Change In Adsense Increased Earnings 20 FOLD!

Hey,

The site is www.pown.us and I have been getting around 40k pageviews and I was earning 1$. I had the same layout as I had now. Now if you look at the box underneath the content you see it is an image ad. Before I had all text ads and without the yellow title (did that today). Now just changing that to an image made me earn 18$,20$,20$ the last three days! Its great.

Just thought I would say this because guides and stuff always say never use image ads well I gave it a try and it is amazing. Now I am addicted and trying to raise my daily earnings to $50 it would be great then its just traffic!

It just goes to show that ad placement and style is critical to adsense success

 

I rotate between images and text and for me that's the best. Whenever you can mix up the content it becomes more appealing and interesting to viewers. The text only is always imho a bad idea.

 

Can you prove it ? I don't know what to say .... for me a image bring to me just few dolars. (http://www.directory.trybestsoft.com)...

 

I think because the way its set up it looks like more content and the user looks at it.

Oh and my traffic is maily stumbleupon so I have a low ctr. Oh and the low value for today is because most of my vistors go online later today (I am GMT traffic is 90% american) It always happens.

i refreshed and it shows video ad again.. that is cool.

anyway i don't use image ads in my site because after few refreshes it stay fixed ! the same ad shows all the time.. in most of the pages.. (mainly targetted to my main keyword, which pays low), so the text only ad worked well for me.

by the way...which ad sense reporting software you using ?

Woah video ads? Well thats good well all I am saying is experiment and don't listen to what people say learn for yourself nothing on the internet is exactly the same.

 

Hey guys, I could use some advice. I run a site at http://thequarry.net

Adwords advertisers are paying $5 or more a click for keywords like "Penny Stocks" or "Buying Penny Stocks" However, Google has only been paying me around .50 a click when my CTR has been between 5 to 10 percent. I selected the text and image option when I set up these ads. My question is what the heck is up with that low payout for several weeks now? Are they sending low paying advertisers to my site or am I doing something wrong? Do I have too many ads on my site?

I emailed Google and they replied with some stupid out of the can email they send to everyone about how it is a normal fluctuation in traffic and pay. I just find it hard to believe I would only be making .50 a click off of words that bring in $5 or more a click for Google. Any suggestions?

its a site to site basis IMO...whats works best for you...i think text ads is just good because it can be blended to look like not an ad...

 

It depends on each site. Some sites make more with image ad some do not. Topic also decides how much each one makes.
