I think its a social bookmarking site you register and submit all the links you stumbled upon and found intersting then you share it with other people also using stumble upon people use social bookmarking sites to submit their own sites to generate more traffic and build backlins I think its called but hey thats my theory i'g on the net I just started my own dating site im new to marketing on the net have you tried googleing it ?

 

yup i google it, but didn't find its true working. I have a tech blog so i want to generate traffic from stumbeupon.

 

New stumbler accounts have very little power so the first thing to do is stumble and thumb up lots of pages (not your own yet).
You also need to add friends.
Once your account is built up you can start to add your own pages, dont do more then one a day and continue to stumble other pages.
Share your post with some stumbler friends to give it a head start.

Its hard to game stumbleupon, in the end you still need an interesting article to get visits.

its essence does not depend entirely on signing up and submitting story but on the activities you will do within, you need to have a decent network and the that is where results will start.

 

If you sign up for an account, try to engage and friend as much as possible so you have more leverage to get your site out there.

 

Stubleupon is more similar of a social bookmarking and a twitter you have to follow someone and vice versa in order for you to be seen by the community and someone will stumbleupon your site makes sense.

 

I have about 200 followers on stumbleupon and i'm not really sure of what the calculation is, i mean i don't know how a post i submit gets views, obviously if i share it with them it generates a few views, but then i don't know how it assigns views to other posts, because mine only ever get about 300, whereas a lot of other posts get 150,000 easily, and i don't know how it's done, like what i have to do to achieve that. Anyone know?

 

I have no followers but some of my bookmarking bring traffic to my site. But it is less than 30.

Around 300 views is actually pretty good, after that you just need lots of stumblers to like your page, especially high status stumblers.
There is only so much we can do, eventually it comes down to having stumble friendly content.
