how to best organize content?

I know I need to get more content for my site. I also know that articles is are a great way to create content... but how do you organize that on your sites? let say you write 25 articles on various topics that deal directly with your website and its keywords... what the heck do you do with them?
An example site would be great!

Hi Melissa, give me a call this week at 502-403-8542 I have a software application - web based - that I will let you use.

You can write your articles directly in it, it makes search engine friendly pages, uses RSS feeds, etc.

A good example of articles management:
    http://www.askdavetaylor.com/

Name your articles with keywords and place them in root level.
Dave Taylor is also a popular SEO :)

OK, so I name them with key words... but what is root level? DO I need to have all my articles listed on my index page? Or just the links to all my articles? I am a bit confused

Links will suffice. Personally I like the way Wordpress manages this.

So if I am adding articles to my main page... via links to another page on my site containing the articles... this would be considered new content for seo puposes? or would I need to post the article on my home page and then later index it on the articles page with a link to the home page?

You don't need to have all your articles linked from the root (homepage). As long as you have a link to your article section, like www.articledashboard.com . Lots of content and links to the main article categories from the homepage.

Wordpress does do an excellent job of content management.

    Melissa,
I'm not an expert at this so not too confident, but you need php/mysql for storing your contents in database. I suggest you move to a good new host with php/mysql services. Then you can use CMS to manage most of your data.
It sux editing each pages in html.

heck yes. You just click on "write a post" then "submit" there you go, your site has been updated without editing in html!
