I'm not in the least surprised about the NDAs. I don't do business with anyone (even short term one time engagements) unless I get either a signed NDA, or a written agreement to that effect (as anyone on DP whos worked for me knows).

    To me it's common sense.

    YFS:
If you happen across someone whos willing to do off page SEO work (and is actually conversant enough to grasp requirements quickly) - I'd like to know about them.

Consistently good people are hard to find nowadays. :)

John loch this guy's forte is link building. His teacher made him build a search engine from scratch to understand what search engines want from an seo.
Now thats what i call seo rambo training. Just pm me and i will give his info out and a reference for one of his jobs. Oh and one more thing, he loves his dog so if u get in good with his dog your in with him.

Tom, i was getting desperate , and decided to do a google search ti find someone that could possibly seo my casino site at a reasonable rate and voila , out of sheer dumb luck i found him. I was even luckier to have found someone who is very honest.
Guys i wanna post a directory submission service where i guarantee inclusion for 100 links into seo friendly directories for 40 bucks, but for some reason it wont let me post in the services or services offered section.
Please can someone help me out

I obviously thought the guy was a nice guy but his techniques are hardly revolutionary. What he does , however, like many SEOs from parts of the world where it is less expensive to live, is consistent grunt work. I actually mean that as a compliment (even if it doesn't sound like one) because that unfortunately is needed to get any kind of ranking with Google these days (they still haven't cracked the right algo to provide relevant results nor to reward webmasters that put up quality sites, not hire a guy to do linking 8 hours a day)

What the SEO in this thread does is something anybody could (Its SEO 101 stuff). His advantage is he does it for an unbelievably low price which makes it really attractive.

I don't doubt for a minute he will always have work.

I was surprised when he refused an hours work a day because I thought he would do better getting 8 clients a month, then 1 a month as far as consistency but he was up front about that from the beggining so I can't fault him.

Lol, the golden egg my friend. The problem there is when you find someone like that, you tend to keep them for yourself :D

There are minimum requirements...Consult the FAQ/Rules link at the top of the forum

I didn't turn down his offer because he couldn't meet our needs (In fact he would far surpass them), its just that I have niche sites that don't need the amount of work he can do. I can see how a Casino site would benefit though as they require a LOT more work.

By the way, I didn't realize this before but he actually has a company with a couple of people working for him which is why he takes on big projects.

They have a webcam where you can watch your guy working (which I always wonder about when you hire someone for 8 hours a day) which is definately cool. He actually let me check it out just cause I was talking about him in this thread.

John - You may want to IM this guy. Might be worth a try if you have sites that can benefit from that amount of work

But still he looks in better goodwill

For the record, it was me that posted about the flooding, not him...It has nothing to do with his services or what he charges.

especially during monsoon season and if your on the bottom floor or have a house it will get flooded at time. My web designer is on the second floor so he is fine. Oh yes by the way if anyone wants my web designers portfolio just ask and u shall recieve. This guy used to be a painter so hes very good with colors. He has over 100 sites in his portfolio, many for american and uk clients.

Why should it matter if his area gets flooded occasionaly as long as he does good work. When my casino site gets to the top of teh major engines he wont have to worry about that anyways, plus hes planning on branching out to thailand soon anyways. Its where he used to work as a software programmer. As far as his linkbuilding is concerned when i asked him to explain link building to me, i got totally lost . He has a way of using his past skills as a programmer of anayzing links. I gave him this bewildered look and he started cracking up.

Send me his details. I'll give him a tryout if his prices are right. I have my own means of 'monitoring' work, and the effectiveness/quality thereof - though this webcam is a novel idea.

And the first order of business.. An NDA.

    Hows that for irony ;)

If anyone does hire him, can you please PM me and let me know how it went. I had negotiated a price, etc but at payment time, he only accepts xoom. As everyone knows, xoom is not for commercial transactions and therefore you are not covered in cases of fraud. I typically either use escrow or Paypal so this is a bit of an issue for me (Plus the fees are VERY high with xoom as he is requesting their fast service + I think I have to pay Paypal fees on top of it)

I know you are a big fan of his, pingpong and no offence but I will probably look for a reference from a longtime DP member before paying upfront in this manner.

All of my best long term relationships with contractors have usually started out with Escrow so it is no reflection on his work or character. I just do a lot of transactions a month and if I basically sent cash up front to each, I would probably be broke by now

I had the same problem with him. He wants $500 advance payment. Now $500 is NOTHING, if he can really do what he says he can do. However, $500 is ALOT if he just takes it and runs off.
I asked if we could pay by the week instead of a full month, that way I dont get hit so hard if he decided to run off with my money. He got pretty nasty about it, not a good sign.
I actually think pingpong and this guy are the same guy, what do you guys think?

b34nzzz: Maybe we can go by the week instead of by the month?
b34nzzz: I just dont know you yet, it makes me feel weird to throw $500 at someone I dont know, very easyly I could get ripped off ya know?
b34nzzz: so can we do an escrow or something?
    ASHOKE BANERJEE: www.xoom.com advance
    b34nzzz: =[
b34nzzz: Maybe we can go by the week instead of by the month?
b34nzzz: I just dont know you yet, it makes me feel weird to throw $500 at someone, very easy I could get ripped off ya know
ASHOKE BANERJEE: Yea $500/- will make me very Rich
ASHOKE BANERJEE: I will built Castle in Air
ASHOKE BANERJEE: Man I took a site to Top 10
ASHOKE BANERJEE: Not worried about Projects
    ASHOKE BANERJEE: Good Bye
