    You could potentially rank well within a matter of a few months, but you would likely need to advertise and bring in as much traffic as you can via your content. If you don't have the budget for advertising then you'll have to find other creative ways of getting traffic (and backlinks).

    Create tools and content that other IT sites would want to link to. You could also do outreach to other IT sites and ask them for a backlink, offer to guest write for them. Don't do reciprocal link exchanges. Try doing a search for something like "technology guest writer" or "IT guest post", you get the idea.

    *Make sure your onsite-SEO is excellent. This will be one of the few high impact things you can do, as far as actionable SEO goes.
