    Once you've established a brand name you're confident in, just make sure you uphold a level of integrity in everything the company does, and everything else will fall into place (over time)

    Being more specific will surely help you get better help. ;)

    For starters you can clarify whether you're looking to brand your existing business name or just trying to come up with a name for your business to begin with. :)

    Build up trust to create a strong brand, experiment it by branding your free email account using your company name first.

    Critical steps to generating a good company name:
    * Set your constraints (e.g; Paypal, Quickbooks)
    * Schedule your time
    * Structured Brain Storming
    * Got a name u like? Sleep on it...
    * Test it

    Good luck with your naming - if you invest in the process you won’t regret it.

    How have you come up with your own product or company names? Which name do you wish you’d thought of first?...................

    First of all... trust takes time.

    Second, understand that there's much more to branding than just the name. Your logo, color choices, etc. all play a significant role in creating a recognizable brand and building trust. (For example, when you think of pepsi and coca cola, there's more than the names - there's the warm red and specific bottle shapes that coke had built, the red/blue of pepsi ... the imagery carries its own meaning.)

    When it comes to branding, you need to develop a solid message, and you need to get that message out to your target audience constantly (where PR and marketing come in). You would do that through press releases, any brochures or other marketing materials you create, packaging if you have it, etc. Your message itself should foster a sense of trust, and help to create the initial image that you're striving for. Then your actions have to continually back it up. Here's a famous example:

    Years ago, when there was arsenic found in some Tylenol (a company all about protecting the health and welfare of their customers), they knew what batch had been affected and where those bottles were distributed. Pulling those ones would have solved the real danger. But the company made a solid PR decision, and pulled every bottle instead. Even though it cost them a good bit more financially, it scored them major points in reputation, and it backed up their claims of being a company that cared about the welfare of their customers. They're still alive and kicking, right? That's a perfect example, of how your actions can affect your brand image.

    Every little thing you do needs to support your brand.

    Try to pursue consistent quality and ethical behavior and people will trust you over time. You also need to market the brand to get exposure.
