How to create a clear background in an image.

    How do i make my background on an image clear? I use the eraser tool to remove the background, but when i save it and use it i have a white background..


    Do i have to save it in a specific way?

    You have to save in .png format. Use Save For Web and Devices and select PNG from right sidebar.

    save in png 24 format. if its for internet use, the use the 'save for web & devices' option to optimise the file size & image quality.

    File > Save As > check .PNG

    If you don't see it, its because your colour mode isn't set right for PNG
    To change it go to Image > Mode > RGB

    Try not to flatten your layers or merge them, it may sometimes ask you. It will always change the colours slightly.
