How to create a world of warcraft website & database

Wasnt sure where to post this, but it seemed most natural in this category.

How many of you plays world of warcraft on a regular basis ?

I do every now and then --- and im very interested in creating a wow database with items, gear, professions etc. Including lots of more cool features.

Can anyone advice me on how to do so ?

I have looked at the competition and they updates their site instantly (it seems) with new stuff as soon as it gets announced. I doubt there's someone updating all that manually so they must pull info from somewhere. But where ?

I'd like to talk more about this and would gladly share ideas etc.

Maybe here's someone thinking as me and want to create something similiar.

 

well I would go for joomla as cms and customise it the way you need it get a nice template design and then create content and add it. you could hire people to write articles about wow for you but you could also start writing on your own and let the users take part and allow them to submit articles

 

Wordpress has some great free World of Warcraft templates. I've got a couple of WoW sites, they are quite fun to play around with.
