So my gf had this job interview at this head hunting company. At the end of the job interview the itnerviewer gave her some work to do and send to him. Depending on the quality of the work she might get the job..

anyhow the second question was, "how can you find people for a job down to their names and phone numbers?"

anyhow any help answering this question would be appreciated. Online and offline ideas are fine :)

lets say you need a php programmer:
find a website of a company who does webdesign, search this site for some worker names and find out the name of the php guy. try to find out what they are working on or what they did beore, mst sites mention something like "he did some large projects for abc, 123, xyz ....". call the official number and ask for the number of $php-guy-name, because you are the new webmster guy from company abc and have some urgent questions/problems about this php project he did.
be sure you know what you're talking about, call after work hours with your "urgent problem" so the person in the office cant help you and you score his home number.

some headhunters tried it this way here some time ago.

Whenever I have people approach me about work they just told me straight out they were looking for people and if I had a minute...

Many people at least want to hear their options, and I'd give out my name/phone # to a possible employer.
