Create a white outline to the text using the pen tool
Right click on that layer and select blending options.
Go to the drop shadow box on the right.
Change the spread to 100%, opacity to 100% and the color to that grey, then the size to 0px, and the distance to about 5-6px. Then change the direction of the angle to \

    Its quite simple.
-Copy the layer, or group make sure its flattend.
-Make the copy a black, then drop opacity.
-Place the copy behind the original and give it a tilt using your transform too.
-Erase the black that pertrudes the top and leave it in the bottow.
-You can the do the same to the other side.

    Thats a simple way.
    Hope this helps.

Or, quite simply, you could just use the Wrap tool ^_^

Under the text layer, make a new layer. Obtain a selection of the text/logo/whatever it is and fill that selection with a light gray on the layer you just created.

Then move the "shadow" a bit to the right, some 10px, and go to Edit-->Transform-->Wrap. Drag the control points to make curves, to shring behind or enlarge the shadow ^_^

    Hope this will help :)

Best solution for creating shadows. If you want to make it blurry just use gaussian blur filter on shadow layer, or use drop shadow style.

Ok here is simple example how to make logo image shadow.

First select all your layers or group of layers with logo and merge layers like on image below.
    http://www.imagebam.com/image/b14015106004017

Than when you have only one layer with logo, right click on layer and duplicate layer.
    http://www.imagebam.com/image/4086ca106004071

When you have 2 layers, select layer below and right click and select blending options
    http://www.imagebam.com/image/a9983d106004122

In blending options use color overlay and set it to your shadow color (usually black). Now you wont see changes because this layer is below logo but dont worry you will see shadow soon.
    http://www.imagebam.com/image/69aa83106004305

With layer below selected (one with black color overlay) go to warp transformation tool.
    http://www.imagebam.com/image/49ecb2106004348

Now when warp transformation tool is selected, i think for your image best suitable shape is Arch. Select arch transformation, and bend your shadow how much you want. Dont worry if shadow is appeared somewhere where you dont wont, worry to shadow look good where you want it to be.
    http://www.imagebam.com/image/3aeeb8106004413

When you finish with warp tool hit ok, and use free transform tool next to move shadow behind logo, for transform tool use (CTRL+T) and resize shadow.

NOW YOU GOT SIMPLE AND QUICK SHADOW BEHIND LOGO.

If you want you can give little blur effect on shadow behind. To make blur select your shadow layer and go to Gausian blur filter.

    AND THATS IT
If you have some more problems and you need some kind of design feel free to PM me.

    Regards,
    Alex.
