    tell me if im wrong it made long time i did'nt have to update some layout. but to edit my PSD file can i use photoshop ?

    else what programme are you using to edit PSD file please any good recomendation ?

    Umm.. a psd is a photoshop document (hence the name PSD)

    Im not sure if there is any other program that lets you edit a psd..

    there is a free program you can download called photoplus it will let you edit a PSD. you will have to search the net, just google the phrase "free photoplus 6" to find it

    Paint Shop Pro allows PSDs as well. But if you have Photoshop do use it! :)

    Hi,

    If you have photoshop, then better to use photoshop itself to edit psd files. Beside photoshop you can use gimp or gimpshop.

    I also heard that people can edit PSD files using fireworks version 8.0. I don't this is true or not because I never use fireworks.

    Yes, use photoshop, paint shop pro works also, and im not sure about Illustrator, i know you can create PSDs but dont know if you can open them

    Photoshop will open a psd. who said it won't???????????

    It is a document/project saved for later use. What is the point of saving a .psd if you can't open it with the program you created it?

    photoshop opens psd and well as creates them paint shop pro works just the same

    though if you dont know how to use either one you may be better off having someone edit it for you

    You should have photoshop to edit psd file so that you can easily edit it.
