Does anyone have any suggestion on how to find companies to sell ad space to? I am looking to sell ad space on a website I am developing.
    Thanks!

Are you looking to buy ad space or sell ad space? I'm a little confused.

The best way to go about it is to advertise your site using article marketing, blogging and other forms of marketing. Remember you will be competing with big companies like Google and the rest. Just to let you know, you need to work hard. Learn some internet maketing and you will be fine.

Well it depends on which companies you are looking for?

But offline marketing might be a good idea if it suits the site you are trying to sell adspace at

If your site is still in development stages it would be really hard to find some people or companies to buy ad space on it. I think you need to get your site up and running and when it stars generating some decent traffic then you have lot better chance to sell some ad space on it.

If this is something what you are looking for. I think best way is to directly approach advertisers and politely ask whether they are interested to sponsor your site. Just use google to search for it.

You see, if your website is having good trafffic, then people will come to you for ad space. So write good content. If you want adspace you can advertise in local newspaper.

You could do it in house. Hire 1 person with sales experience. Put together a media kit and start selling. If you need prospects, sign up to a prospecting company like http://www.salesgenie.com I think there the best but a little expensive. I am thinking about 3,000 a year if I remeber right when I used them. That was several years ago however. Good luck.

You may want to consider approaching other's in your niche for an ad swap.
You never know who may be willing to work with you...
