How To Focus Your Mind On What You Want To Achieve

To achieve something, you have to give it mental energy. LOTS of mental energy. Here’s a cool tip about focusing on what you want to achieve.

It’s easy to hold a mental image for a second or a couple of seconds, but when your mind starts chattering away again, the image vaporizes or becomes polluted by the intruding thoughts.

Write out a super-quick elevator pitch style sentence about your desire. Make it short, no more than 5 seconds long. The difference between an elevator pitch and this blurb is that you are pitching it to yourself so it’s okay to express your financial desires too - but since the universe is about give and take, cause and effect, your focus must be on the value you provide!

You want to paint the big picture with this sentence: you, in your ideal situation. Take your time composing the perfect 5-second pitch to yourself. Example: “I own a multi-million dollar online business helping people improve their health.”

Then, enter a meditative state. This is essential for this exercise to work, because you need to impress this idea into your subconscious mind. When you feel yourself relax, start thinking about what you want to achieve.

Then - this is the cool part - imagine yourself hand writing the sentence that you wrote, IN CURSIVE - in your best, gold-star-worthy handwriting. DO NOT allow your mind to skip ahead as your mind will do when you’re reading or even when you’re scribbling notes to yourself. You know how to write. This is an exercise in being focused on WHAT you are writing.

The key to this exercise is being meticulous and precise in your imagination. Imagine yourself completely, beautifully and lovingly writing out each and every letter and punctuation mark because it is an expression of the joy you feel as you accomplish this dream! Don’t forget to cross your t’s and dot your i’s!

Repeat the exercise as many times as you want, but at least three to five times.

Put positive emotions into this! After all, what could be better than writing out this declaration of what you ARE achieving? Feels awesome, doesn’t it?

The next step is repeating the exercise every day for at least one month.

Why does this work? As you’re “writing” in your mind, you’re imprinting the message in your subconscious, AND you are staying focused on the content of your sentence because you are thinking about the act of writing it with the most beautiful penmanship and positive emotions you can (a.k.a. passion and love). It’s a very present-moment meditation exercise that will keep your energy hyper-focused on your desire.

This is a powerful command to your subconscious. Just watch what happens next!
