How to get more traffic for my RC blog?

Discussion in 'General Business' started by macau2009, Nov 29, 2019.

My domain name has a DA 24, but my daily traffic is only around 100 daily. I have tried press release and guest posting on a more popular site, what else should I try to go to a point I can have at least 500 daily traffic?

    Thanks

I tried Fiverr in similar situation. You can buy traffic cheap on fiverr, but often times, it doesn't guarantee conversions
e.g. they can generate 150 visitors per month for $5 a month

Don't buy traffic. It's not just about the number of visitors, you want qualified traffic who is actually interested in your content. Otherwise, it's worthless.

What have you done so far to increase traffic to your site? Do you regularly publish content? How is your inbound marketing (SEO, social media)? Do you do any link building or other kind of outreach?

If you give us more information, it will be easier for us to give you some proper advice.

@nshep is correct. Don't buy traffic unless it is relevant. There are several methods of getting traffic; just do some quick search for it. One tip I can give here... when you are discussing your website in this thread then you should have given a link to your website, we have visited your website and that means little more traffic. You can multiply the same technique and have a good positive impact.

Do proper seo on your content especially by finding easy to rank for keywords.

And post content your content on social sites. This is known as content repurposing and distribution.

Viralcontentbee can help you gain more twitter followers and likes. Tailwindapp can help you get more Pinterest traffic.

On linkedin you can use the 'write an article' option, and put the whole introduction of your article (with a link to full guide). The introduction entices visitors and the click to view the full article.

On Medium.com you can put the entire blog post (specify the canonical url in the medium article's setting), not just the introduction because it a content site not just to share links.

You can convert blog posts into video and put on Youtube, there are many video formats you can use, e.g. powerpoint presentations. You can do Youtube SEO to rank those videos.

Those are just some of the things you can do.

Keep doing that and over time you'll get more traffic from Google and the social sites.

Do research on topics before you create and content. You want to make sure the topic is being searched for. You can use a variety of tools for this such as ubersuggest, buzzsumo, any keyword tools, or even Quora.

Write at-least 2,000 words, have a good header image.

Market the post on forums that are related to your post.

Just DA will not help you get traffic from search engines, not to mention DA 24 is calculated by third party tools, not given to you by google itself.
Your actual DA in google's view might be something different.

Publish quality, long content, if possible something unique, to get traffic for that keyword.
Dig deep in keyword research if you have to.

Then you also have social media. It takes lot of work to get substantial traffic from social media, but its not very difficult either.

Setup a facebook page, make a post everyday, or at least one post every two days.

Likewise, make 3-5 tweets per day, at different time each.

For more visibility of your tweets, attach a picture with it. Not just a random picture, but something from your content itself.
If content is plain text, you can use the tool below to generate an image using the text content.
    https://vagMineTech.com/imageMake/

Copy some text from your blog article, paste it in that big box, set your colors and click the generate image button.
Now attach this image with your tweet.
You can use the image on facebook or instagram also.

Use contrast colors so that your image stands out amongst all those other tweets, draws eyes of readers. Have a link to your blog in the tweet itself.

Keep doing this on a regular basis, eventually you will have lots of followers, and traffic coming from social media itself.

You can also publish videos. These days google is showing 9 video results before regular web results.
Publish a video every 1-2 days and eventually your channel will get followers and traffic.
Paste a link to your blog in the video description box.

If you hesitate talking in your video, you can instead make a slideshow video, with just a screenshot of your blog post, or using the images from the above tool.
That website also has a slideshow video maker, download and use that.

Social media is a more long term approach for traffic, rather than just depending on google and SEO. Google changes its algo every now and then, and its really stupidity to depend on search engines alone if you want a long term business.
Search engine traffic is "secondary" traffic, something which came for free.
Like it came, it can go away as easily and as quickly.

Focus on social media, build a brand, build followers. That will generate much longer term results.

    Buy traffic? Bad advice...

You don't buy traffic. You invest in advertising. What is your current advertising strategy? I bet you don't have one. No strategy = No plan. It's like starting a Weight Loss without a plan. You will do a bunch of random things inconsistently and become lost in tracking your progress (or even lack of). Your marketing plan needs to focus on social, search, content, etc. Come up with your strategy and plan first then make changes.

I also made the experience that just posting a blog article will do nothing for your visibility, at least not for the first 2 years or so. Sharing on social media is just as vital to get the relevant traffic on your website. And I agree with Lewis: your articles must be of high quality and include relevant photos, keywords and links.

On the matter of getting traffic to your site, SEO, good content, and social media marketing are gold. On the matter of paid traffic where you buy website traffic, this is a little more complicated. You can get this type of traffic in many forms. Google's paid ads and Facebook's PPC are two examples. Services like those from fiverr, maxvisits.com, webtrafficgeeks and many others are pure traffic. Then there are the many paid social media followers or friends that you can buy, which can then become traffic. However, it's always worth remembering that quality will always be a point of consideration.

Low quality traffic does not convert. this applies to bots and non-targeted traffic. if the traffic that you got by buying it is of high quality, though, then conversion should not be an issues.
