How to get more visitors to my technical web site?

I am writing technical blog which is covering topics such as Microsoft systems and different technologies. I have done about 45 posts to my site.

I have concentrated to SEO by using right keywords, making good titles and quality text etc. My domain (www.technicaltips.net) has added to many link directories and I have got many reciprocal links.

There are still about 5-15 users per day in my site.

What am I doing wrong?

you should advertise about your website! Use social networking sites to post link to your related website you want to make popularize among users. In this way people will join your site.

 

Submit links to your site on appropriate subreddits (Reddit.com), DZone, Digg Technology, and Slashdot.  I have a Python blog and regularly get about 1200 uniques from a single post to reddit's Python subreddit.

Try to create backlink of your site that will help to get good page rank of your site. You also can use Google adsense and social networking site for advertising your site. And some optional stuff to get more traffic are blog commenting, creating fan page and make sure your site is always updated.

I have also the same problem like you then i start article submission to do-follow sites and my traffic get increased.And one more thing you must do commenting on do follow blogs...

 

Competitive niche, study your competitors that out rank you see what they do.

 

use social networking sites for the advertisements of your technical website give ads in newpapers and magazines and also give ads on popular search engines commonly used by majority of the people................it will work

 

Just keep on what you are doing.  You can try all the link-building techniques, forum / blog posting and all that other stuff but as long as you keep on writing decent content you will be okay.  All that other stuff will happen organically if your content is worth consuming.

I increased the traffic to my website by almost 500% by simply using blog commenting.if you make a useful contribution to the comment thread rather than "great post" people are more likely to take you seriously and actually visit your website to see what you have to offer.

 

I have done lots of work to get more visitors to my blog. I created Twitter and Facebook account and used Fiverr to get 250 members to my fan page. I have posted some articles to Reddit and Digg. But still I have around 5-10 users per day. I feel a little disappointment about it.

In my opinion my niche is quality. My blog covering topics such as Microsoft systems and different technologies. It gives many step by step guides for IT support and administrators.

There are lots of do follow blogs. I don't where I can posts.

I am updating my blog regular and daily.

Free methods (Low but good targeted traffic): yahoo answer, google groups, related forums.

Post good answers,post or thread, help people. Put link in signature or at the end of answer.

 

Participate forums, do article submissions, press release submissions. These could increase the traffic. You can also create related videos and upload them on video streaming sites with high traffic in technology category. Interact with the fans of your FB page by sharing updates daily 3-4 times. Likewise, there are many things that you can do. If you find it difficult then you can also buy targeted traffic. There are people offering 1K targeted visitors for 75 cents to 1 USD.
