How To Get To The First Page Of Digg?

Hi,

I know that everybody wants to get to the front page of digg,
so they can benefit from the high traffic.

I have a question....How do you get to digg's front page?...And
How many "digg it" to you need for a single digg story you entered,
to get it to the front page?

I noticed in digg's home page that there are stories with about 400,
300, 200, 100, and even 80 diggs for them, and they made it to the
front page?

So it's not the number of diggs a story gets? or atleast not the highest
only get to the front page?!

I need to know the factors that helps in getting to the front page,
and if about 100 diggs on your story would help? if anyone knows.

Also do the date you submitted your story have anything to do with
that? do we have to submit the same story several times?!

It has to do with digg's algorithm....but not sure what....I am also looking forward for this answer....

 

The more people digg your story that you just posted, the better chance of getting in the front page.

That's what i did, i test it myself. Asked my members to digg the story.

Around 50+ digg was in the story. And after few hours it got in the front page.

 

To get on the top of Digg u need to get more " digg " from others !

So hire someone to do it !

 

It has to be done quickly after you post it. Normally if it is more than a day or two, you have little chance of getting on the front page. Of course if you are caught or suspected of asking for diggs, you will get banned.

 

If I were to hazard a guess, I would imagine it has more to do with popularity within a timeframe. So 80 Diggs in a 1 hour period would probably have more weight than 400 Diggs that took 4 weeks to aquire

Again, I'm just guessing, but if you have a lot of friends using Digg, and they all Digg the story, and all of there friends Digg the story, and all of this happens in a short 24 hour period it will move to the top page, for at least a brief period.

I think the 'old rules' still hold, Catchy Titles, HowTo's, guides and 'breaking news' get dugg faster then old news about things people have seen 100 times before.

 

50 diggs and got to the front page is great, I thought it needed more!
But for how long did it stay at the front page?

Oh yeah also get some1 that is well known in Digg and that many readers read his post.

That would actually help

And i don't think posting comments actually work, in fact it actually decreases your chance to be in the front page.

What if I had an old story (lets say about a month), then it got 50+ diggs
(maybe using the service priyakochin mentioned)...Will it get to the front
page?

 

Your story can be dormant on digg.com for a while. It's once the story is deemed "upcoming" or "made popular" that you want alot of diggs. I've made front page of videos about 4 times in the past week.

 

40-70 Digg are enough usually.

Just make sure you provide some really original content.
Of course you will need to cheat too, so make sure all your IM buddies are online when you submit your article

 

i wonder how much traffic you get to your site from the front page of digg

 

the key is to keep trying, everyday with ORIGINAL CONTENT + a little help from friends, but from my experience i can say that without a top Quality and original story its almost impossible.

 

Get about 100+ diggs and you need a REALLY GOOD STORY that hasn't been posted before to get there.

 

It is to be something different and unique. Pictures go well on digg as well. The story I wrote was about Digg, so that's how I got there on the front page.

You need around 20 diggs in the first 10 minutes to get somewhere in my opinion.

 

Around 100+ unique visitors hit.

Since when they want to read it. Some sites submit it in their site, so if they want to read. They have to go to the site and read it.

 

to get on the front page you need around 50-80 diggs
