    How do you go about getting traffic from Social Bookmarking websites?

    Do you just write an article somewhere like in ezine or in your blog and just bookmark it?

    Is it like another fast way of submitting articles for poeple to see without it having to go tyhrough the stage of getting approved?

    You must have very unique articles to get approved by ezine.Else if you need to publish it without approval, you must have your own website.

    Social Bookmarking Site allow you to bookmark YOUR favorites online. Yeah yeah, already know that right? Well, due to the inherent curiosity of people and the ability to make your profile on said bookmarking site PUBLIC, those curious folks are apt to click on your bookmarks to see what YOU Like.

    Social Networking sites are more of an article posting model and you (in most cases) do not need to get approval as it is your account that you are posting to as long as you abide by the sites TOS.

    Both models offer multiple benefits to you as a webmaster. One benefits is backlinks to your sites.
    With Social Networking sites you are actually part of community and can post teaser content for members to read and hopefully click through to your site.

    The backlinks help with Google traffic, the teaser content gets traffic and the curious people checking your bookmarks gets you traffic.

    I think getting good exposure from social bookmarking websites actually depend a lot on the people that you know there and if they find your story to be attractive.

    This is a rule that is always true but for successful social bookmarking it is even more important. If you have successfully passed Level 1 (headlines) and Level 2 (description) in the Catch the User's Attraction game, don't let a bad first paragraph make them leave your site.

    Social bookmarking has always been a bit confusing to me. You can't really make your story popular unless other people save it or bookmark it or whatever. A little strange, but it does drive traffic..

    Social bookmarking sites are a powerful form of free advertising. They work 3 fold:

    -> You get traffic from the bookmarking site itself who are interested in your bookmark
    -> Your site/article gets a back link from a high ranking social bookmark site
    -> Your bookmark itself can have its own ranking in search engines.

    Digg has worked very well for me so just go there and sign up and submit links to your articles.
