I am a writer myself (from India) and have been writing for more than 5 years now.I have been searching a lot but have not really been able to get writing assignments.I have searched in DP as well but none of the orders ultimately materialized.I charge 0.01$ per word for the contents.I just want to what is the problem?Am I charging too much?I know quality is not a problem as those who sent me Pm were satisfied with the samples.

Just guide me how to get more writing assignments? If possible then mention other places where I can find them as well.

I hope this is the right place for posting this question. If not, then I apologize.

I think, you should get writing assigments but as you are from India, your English might not be so effective as it is in US or UK. That's the reason, you get less orders. Try for writing quality articles to attract more assignemnts.

you can check out the forum called the warriors forum

and you can post your work up on a certain section of the

forum. I am not sure what section it is because i am not

an the forum right now. There many marketers out there

looking to get content written for them. You just have to find

those marketers and the warrior forum is just one place you

    can find them.

Getting clients is tough eating on DP... you have stiff competition (myself included), and not many folks that have cash to spend. My suggestion: First, figure out how to differentiate yourself from the swarm. Then do it... because you don't have a pricing problem, you've got a marketing problem from the sounds of things.

Second, start kicking around the net to find some other watering holes (sorry, bro...can't just give you mines). Generally speaking, you won't find many active marketers here on DP... so they can't afford to buy content at any price.

    Best of luck.

Try writing for one of those sites which pays you to write unique articles

associated content (better for US residents), helium, buksia etc do a google search

Try going to textbroker . com and getting a job their as a writer

Or advertising your services on Freelance sites........

There are jobs available its just hard to find them and takes lots of work to find the people willing to hire you

you should build up a blog/site for yourself first,
and write quality content and articles and offer the writing services.

Thanks for your input. But, best to my knowledge, textbroker is not open to non native speakers.

    I think that's great advice and something you really need to do bumba1988, it will make you appear much more professional and serious about your work. You could also try promoting your work on sites such as;

    http://www.myessays.com/
    http://ezinearticles.com/

Problem is not how much you charge, but how much competition there is. :) it's a really competitive industry mate.

Thanks a lot for these links. I am aware about others but did not know about myessays, how does it work?
I know and that is why I asked for some ideas to move ahead from my competition. Anyway, thanks for your inputs.
