How to get your Story dugg?

I have been hearing about digg traffic a lot and also tried their quite a few times but with no luck . Earlier it was easy to get your story dugg by sending shouts to thousands of your friends at one time, but the day digg has stopped this feature it is now pain in the a*s to get your story not only on the front page but to even get it dugg 10 times.

I know there are many genius people here on this board who might have found the BH/WH trick to get your story on front page. If you have came across with any such technique, kindly post here and let all of us try our luck with that.

you have to make bunch of friends there who are active and digg each others. some people use multiple accounts with proxy and such. seriously its not always a fair game.

 

Two words: Interesting Content

 

There are power users there, 90% of the top stories are from them. To be the 10% that squeaks in is very rare. I know the owners want to change this but they also don't want junk on the front page.
Make friends with the power users and try to get them to push your story, keep in mind major corporations are doing the same thing.

 

Yes, me too suggest to make interesting content in the story. Other ways are not going to help you.

You need to be very active on digg to enlighten your social presence. Along with great content you definitely need to socialize with other members.

Agreed! It is the most important thing if you want to get your articles dugg. You can also try to invite friends and ask them to digg. Yet content is still what really matters.

 

If you have a lots of friends and you daily dugg their website so they will dugg your story for sure.

 

You have to a strong user. Submit story from big site like cnn.com and techradar.com etc.
Dugg other story. You have to dugg around 200 to 300 in one day.

 

From my experience it is very hard to get diggs on a story. I have implemented digg on several sites and never have seen any impressive result.

Would anyone here be interested in possibly creating a "google group" or small forum on trading diggs? Let me know thoughts

I have to say I gave up on trying to get stuff bumped on most of the major bookmark sites. It really is more work than its worth sometimes there are much faster ways to get traffic than bookmark sites. For me I use them to get my sites and content indexed faster.

 

I know it has nothing to do with digg, but I suggest trying stumbleupon...it`s more interactive, like a social media site, and could get you way more traffic if you are at the beginning...I got 1 review on stumbleupon yesterday, and today the traffic for my new blog jumped from 20 visitors to 200

I've also has success from del.ici.ous.. one day randomly i got 800+ hits from it. next day it was like 200, then back to normal

 

Offer something value in exchange for digging your articles. Just don't overdo, as far as I know it's against Digg TOS.
