How to improve CTR on entertainment (funny stuff) site?

This is not necessarily an Adsense-only topic, but can't see another place to put it.

I have a couple of general entertainment sites (funny stuff) with lots of traffic... but low CTR.

Adsense shows ads like "Funny T-shirts" or things somehow related to the funny content of my site, but not that interesting to my audience... so the CTR is very low.

I have also tried AdEngage. It does have more appealing ads, but CTR is still too low, and ad format sucks (too small).

Anyone out there with the problem solved?

 

on several tests I have found that:

* Since my sites have a lot of text, graphical banners work better.

* Game and Girls banners ads seem to be an interesting ad subject for my audience (high CTR).
A "Sexy girls" banner (not porn, just "sexy") I tested had a 5,5% CTR... very nice!
If I could find such an advertiser paying $0,05 per click, my problem would be solved.

I tried adultfriendfinder.. not good enough. Any other i should consider?

The ideal would be some cool ads like games, girls and stuff... but I haven't been able to have my site approved with BrustMedia and Fastclick not sure why

Any other ideas?
