How to improve targetting ?

    Hi,

    I've got a problem with one of my sites. It's a site about an online game, built a bit like a database so we have a page for each item in the game (with how to get it, where to buy it...), a page for each quest, a page for each creature ... you got it.
    There are 2 problems with adsense targetting : first, it uses the item name to target ads which is obviously stupid. For example, on a page about the item "Boots of the dark" or whatever, we have ads about real boots sellers or on a page with a quest asking you to kill some wolves, ads about hunt and so on..
    I thought about using section targetting but it's not really good to solve this since I have nothing to emphasize on my pages about ads I would want : i'm not gonna add some text in all pages like "This is an item in the game X, an online game ...." or something.

    Second, when ads are on topic (i.e. about online games), it's often ads for currency sellers which is lame and against the TOS of the game. I can manage that with competitive filter though.

    So the general question is : is there a way to tell Google my whole site (each and every page) is about a specific topic (in this case, I want ads for online games, video games, ....) and that he doesn't have to scan every page ? Or is there any good solutions for this kind of site ?

    Thanks for your attention (and excuse me for my bad english, not my native language ;).

    Read more about "Section Targeting"

    You use HTML tags to emphasize a page section take the following format:

    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->

    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

    This will enable you to get better ads on your site.
