How to increase digg count?

I am looking for genuine ways to increase digg count. I saw that even if I write really good articles it is hard to get to the front page or at least to get 50 digs.

So, let's pretend for a moment that I have a nice article. What can I do to increase my diggs?

 

Maybe pay friends for digging your articles?

You can try other related articles for your site that you think is more interesting than your usual articles before.

 

I'm curious on how to increase the digg count as well. This is useful for alexa.

 

Always a good move to start being a loyal follower and digger of people who DIGG alot. I also began contacting newer folks and asking them to share Diggs. Traffic from Digg sucks though especially for people running ppc sites, not sure why most people get all crazy about getting their stories digged. You have a bunch of savvy people visiting that site who do not click on ads and just will read the story and move on. Very little profit for the amount of work.

 

Is it possible you don't have Digg icons on the right places of the article? For instance TOP as well as BOTTOM. Maybe you can give more preference to the DIGG button itself compared to the others. Just something to think about.

 

Get more friends and ask them to digg your post. But of course you have to make your post something useful and worth to digg for.

I've read on another thread that Digg is not a very good site to use for website promotion. Luckily, I haven't bothered yet to open an account on Digg and after reading this other thread I have no intention in doing so. I'm a professional copywriter and I promote my articles using Facebook and Twitter.

 

Only genuine way is to post something very very very important, Then ppl will digg it automatically. Or you will have to create multiple accounts and digg it your self.. No other way of doing it...

Some factors are to be considered before you can increase your digg count.

First, Does your article capture the interest of those connected with you on digg?
Second, How many people are connected with you on digg?
Third, How many have you followed on digg?

Work is not done after you have just submitted a link from your article on social bookmarking sites. It is a continuous process that you need to do.
