On my screen you have no ads above the fold (visible without scrolling). I would put a links-element in your header, or right before the first post.

I would defenitely go with kh7's suggestion by adding an ad(s) in your header. You may be able to improve the CTR that way.

You may also try to experiment with some different ad formats. From the looks of it your page only has one format after each post. Check out https://google.com/adsense/adformats for a list of formats.

adding ad to header OR lower your link unit from header( a little bit lower so it should looks like a horizontal menu)

using alternative ad color in your content ads( it does increase mt CTR)

i'll suggest to use big ractangle ad instead of 250x250

Perhaps you can lighten the colour of text on the ads to match the colour scheme of the site. It will look more blended, at this moment it stands out too much.

Stop showing ads to yourself. That will instantly bump CTR up considering you don't click your own ads.

if you do a search on google, you will find hundreds articles about adsense optimization or other thinks like this, but there isn't a formula to work on all websites, you should try different layouts, and change until you are satisfied. If you have low traffic, the CTR is not relevant.

your placement is good but i realised that there is no ads (ads unit or link unit) on the rigth of your site.

you can try to add ads on menu block

I'd recommend getting some real written content in the blog as well to increase traffic.

How do you disable your own ads for your own site in FireFox?
