How to increase the traffic of my website?

Social Networks can get you instant visitors, however these would not be highly profitable.
For benefits / conversions from the visitors Search Engine Marketing, SEO is most efficient...

 

Do Social media optimization,Article Submission,Forum Submission.

 

SEO and linkbuilding on every webpage indexed by Google. That would be good.

 

Apply some SEO techniques to drive traffic.
Submit your articles on some popular directories with your link at the bottom.
Participate in a forum relevant to your niche and add the signature link of your site.
Exchange links with a popular website related to your site.
Use Social Bookmarking Websites and send your link to those sites whenever you post new content on your site.

 

SEO wise:

Check you Google analytics for keywords that you currently ranked top 20.

Select those keywords that have higher monthly average search volume (Use Google Keyword External Adwords tool) to find this out.

Then, do some link building to increase SERP ranking to reach first page or first 3 spots to increase traffic referred from search engines.

Its easy to generate traffic. You can get up to 5,000 targeted traffic for around $300 when its on special at List builder Pro and its good traffic but not hungry traffic about 1% of my list (many thousands) from this source is profitable. What you really want is to get natural traffic from external links. depends what you're paying for. Is it targeted audience? No point paying for more followers or "friends" on social networks as they don't necessarily convert into sales. Better look for partners who can help you with marketing. There is a free service that allows you to do so: vinicle.com

 

This is a fickle way of looking at it. Why would you do either? Two steps only... build a list first by paying for it until you build it naturally through back links.

Make sure you are making it a point to get indexed in google before any other search engine but most importantly you need to have good content, some decent backlinks and anchor links.

 

Write press release, ...classified,,...articles for free article directories with your links.

Anyways, the immediate and instant traffic convertor, right now in this online world is yourself !!! You have to write some unique and interesting content on your blog so people visit your site. Also you can post individual articles links with pictures on your facebook or myspace account, where people are directed to the concerned site after clicking the links posted on the walls.

I believe if you have quality content and the best user friendly features the site has , that should get you more traffic by itself;

I would do SEO and a lot of linkbuliding try promotion forums they tend to work for me

 

Make a twitter and fb page in which you can promote interesting articles from your site, and sometimes from other sites too.
Find email dumps and use them to mass invite people to follow your twitter, like 20k invitations daily. Update the twitter 1-2 times per day.

Sign in to related forums, non competitive ones, add a link to your site and post to related articles.

If you're good with video editing, make interesting, useful youtube videos that will either go viral, or just get some nice amount of views, related to your site's niche. Add a link to your site in the description, and in the title. Post the video on your twitter, all forums you use, etc. etc.
Keep doing all of this even if you don't see immediate results.
