You need to use different social media in order to gain traffic. I personally use facebook and twitter but since I have few twitter friends for now I am gaining more on Facebook since I have loads of real friends from it .I just share something from my blogs content and I gain traffic from it.

 

You can increase your sites traffic by using Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon and other social media sites and high pr social bookmarking sites. Also remember use only fresh and informative content in your site.

 

That's true, but it's also true that good content, without appropriate (and constant) promotion, it could remain unread... IMHO.

 

Working on social network can only benefit if you follow the principle "Give Some and Have Some". If you will just keep on posting updates about your product no one will notice you what are you doing and what you are up to and people will might block you as adding you as a friend will not benefit them. But, if you show a very positive gesture towards your network, give feedback to what they are doing. Co operate with them than they will surely take interest in what you are doing and you will start getting traffic.
