Your vid has to be good... people will link to it if it is... besides that, to get a jump start, use a bot like webDOM to add targeted friends, they will view your channel. A flamenco guitarist in spain that I work with got on the top 100 channels for the week that I was doing a friend adding campaign for him, and webDOM just pumps out friends all day. If you get enough people's attention, one of them is going to look at the rest of your videos in your channel, then post a link somewhere where they have clout, thus bringing back tons of other people.

 

what you really need to do is to create interesting and unique videos, only that is gonna catch traffic and viewers..be different dude! ;-)

 

The cheapest way is to write an article about the content of the video and put it on at least 5 of the top article directories. It will be picked up by the major search engines which will rank it high and thousands of people will go see the video.
Or the worst method would be to pay YouTube to promote it and they will just tell you to "optimize it" by spending more money, but you are much too smart to fall any of that trash. So try the first method!
