I use facebook fan page and twitter, and then i post significant news.. Overall it was a good result..

well i have a great idea to boost your website, i do the same, when i need maximum traffic with in a month, check your design first and feel if your design is quite graphical and css based design, then go for css gallery, and submit your website to all css gallery. Css gallery hardly takes 48 hrs to approved, once approved, then you will get unbelievable traffic for sure ! enjoy traffic !!

check out your website first, is it well optimized? if yes then check out again its a css based design pattern? if yes then simply submit submit your website to all css gallery website, it will boost your website, enjoy traffic !!
