How to make letterhead print ready

Discussion in 'Photoshop' started by rhysgregory, May 3, 2012.

    Hi.

I created a letterhead in photoshop but have just had it sent back to me from the printers. Apparently it isn't the correct size and needs the colours adjusting.

Would anyone be able to help please? Willing to pay via PayPal.

Drop me a PM with your contact details. Urgent.

    Thank you.

Letterhead is probably best created in Illustrator. Most printers are going to prefer this as long as you "create outlines" on the text. Let me know if you still need help with this.

You most likely created the letterhead on 72 dpi. I'm sure the printing agency is using atleast 300, and putting a 72dpi image into a 300 dpi is like stretching a favicon to be a logo. It'll look horrible. If you still need help, PM me the design and I'll see what I can do about recreating it with the correct dpi.
