No that's Doutzen Kroes! Thanks for the tut, simple and cool effect.

I used your tut to create a wallpaper of Adriana Lima. Think it's pretty neat, click to enlarge:

    Very nice try!
:) but the idea was to use more opposite colors in background and the object. In this way the object will be more visible. Now Adriana is "lost" in sands.

You could also duplicate the layer, set the top layer for black and white and the bottom layer color. Then erase the places you want color and done!

one thing you might considering is adding the term "selective coloring" as photographers might search for that term trying to find out how to do this in PS

that is usually what photographers call this 'effect' :)

pretty simple. U use masking for this.
    Follow the steps (Photoshop)
    - select photo to make this effect
    - duplicate it
    - change the top layer to black n white
    - mask the layer
    - select brush (black color selected)
    - brush the areas you want colored! - tho you will only get the color which is on the original photo
    - if you make a mistake! dont worry select white color on brush and brush up that area

    - hope it helped
