    Hi all

    I want to make a site similar to booking (dot) com, but not for hotels.

    Basic idea is that user create their profiles, add items, pictures, data. I don't know how to start. What should I research?

    i have experience in Joomla, can this be done there? in what way? Please point me in some direction.

    I don`t want to share my idea here, sorry. But basically, they should post about things they sell, but will not sell them trough my site. Just advertise it.

    So, when they got new things, they need to write article about them and update their profile with it and pictures...

    Yes, you can use wordpress themes. Its a wordpress plugin. Its not too complicated.

    wordpress is better than anything else now, really, but maybe for your idea it'd better to run your own site, without CMS constructor? it'll look more pro, I assume
