Nice vector art. This can either be done in Free Hand or Photoshop (using the pen tool). Those are the best softwares I would recommend.

 

You would use Adobe Illustrator for this level of work, it's designed for vector art, Photoshop is not, while you can still use Photoshop, it's not nearly as advanced.

 

True, there's no gradient for vectors and so on but it can work on the basics such as that example

Illustrator will work just fine if you want to drop $100's into this. If not (wise decision), I would suggest you download the open source vector art design software Inkscape which is available for free and will do an job equally as good as it's expensive nemesis.

In order to do this I would say to open a photograph of the people you want to do this for then trace over it with the pen tool.

I agree. You can also use Corel Draw. Sometime others even use Flash for Vector Illustrations.

I'm sorry if my question looks a bit dumb..
I'm still amazed by those people who can design graphics like that..how do they do it with computers? I mean how do they draw the face of people on a coumputer..?By using digital pen??..

 

photoshop is the best software . any type of graphics can be made in photoshop.

 

Most of you recommend Illustrator. I have to admit that it's a good software and it is really suitable for that purpose. But, I will put my finger on the almighty Photoshop.

 

First they sketch it on paper Then they scann it...load it in Illustrator and use the pen-tool and make the basic lines and after that they color it

 

Adboe Illustrator or Corel Draw will serve your purpose!!
