How to make your Site Content SEO Optimized ?

I am working on a finance and business news portal . We are putting all unique content on site but still the site traffic is not much good .
Any tips for optimizing the content of site .

 

1. Content must need to be unique.
2. Targeting keyword should be known.
3. Keep a check on Keyword Density. It should not exceed its limit.
4. User friendly content.
5. Heading & Titles must be analyzed & plotted wisely.

 

Be very careful of over optimization with the penguin.

 

For on-page optimization:

1. Put your keyword in the title/H1, but in a natural sentence ("Dog Training Tips You Can't Miss").
2. Put the keyword (dog training) in the middle and end of the article, naturally, of course.
3. Include pictures or video and alt-text with your keywords/related keywords.
4. make sure the content is interesting/answers the search question/intent.

Now, promote the content!

 

I think unique and original content is not enough to generate huge traffic on your site but it should be fruitful and interesting for readers.

 

Use your targeted keywords in content but in decent way not too much keywords , make that keyword page. mean if you targeting finance keyword then make put that keyword on content and link with internal page with same or similar name finance news portal etc.

 

I suggest you to install blogging platform into your site, so you can update the blog regularly. All postings must be unique. Google love it!

Try to attract traffic through posting in forum and blog commenting with signature link. Using social media can also give you good traffic.

Start asking other pages for link backs. make sure they are relevant to your site and ask them to use anchor words that match the key words you are targeting. Putting up great, rich, and unique content is just the first step. The rest while take either alot of your time, or money depending on the route you take. If you opt for an SEO service, be very careful. A poor SEO could end up doing more damage than good. I prefer to just put in the time and effort myself so that I will know that my site is being linked to quality sites and not 2 day old sites out of russia!

 

you need to start looking up the keywords you want to use on google, and aim them for a keyword that has few results.
(under 100k is best)

Google will then see that your article is about that keyword, and index it for you.
