    I have heard of marketing on social networks but still confused :confused:

    Can any one explain me how to achieve this goal? I have used facebook and orkut so can any one please explain in simple terms?

    Hmm.. so is there any free tool available for multi-scraping?

    And I don't think there is any option on facebook for posting hyperlinks.. or is there??

    You market on social networks by using them as a means to let people know about your site, by making a page for it, and/or asking people who have an interest in your niche to become friends/contacts and then letting them know about updates to your site. On some networks you can also advertise (e.g facebook). But don't spam, it just annoys people.

    hmm.. correct me if I'm wrong. It takes time to promote your site on social networks, but you ca build up a nice number of return visitors to your site :D

    Your have two ways to promote your site using social networking: pay others to send out spam like newsletters, bulletins and to submit diggs or stumbles for your website or build your site with rich and exclusive content. Both have their downsides and upsides.

    getting to the front page of digg/propeller/reddit etc ... can get you massive traffic in a short amount of time

    also good for link building, but it takes time and patience to be able to do this, mainly because you need to gain 'friends' on these sites to help you out

    I joined a site that helps you get that 'initial push' when submitting
