Hello fellow AdSensers, I feel a bit fooled for my expectations.

We got this adsense oriented website:

http://www.mensarticles.com wich has 1000+ pages and has like 500-700 pageviews but we only have like 1-2% ctr?!?!? and makes like 3-4$ on average a day?!

    For example:
    http://www.mensarticles.com/weightloss/296-stopovereating.html

Most pages looks like this - for me it looks quite nicely done website - especially for adsense earnings, but can't get things of the boat - clicks are low and little (1-2%!!! only) which I consider low :(

    Any advice appreaciated

The best thing that you can do is test, test, test. Test various ad placements, ad formats, etc. The placement actually looks good to me on that page the way that it is - but you wont know until you test. You might try the Medium or Large Rectangle in the top left corner - left aligned with the text of the article. The key is testing to see what works best on YOUR site.

Another thing to look into is how targeted your traffic is. You mentioned pageviews - was that per day, per month - or what? Check your stats and see where most of your traffic is coming from and see if that needs tweaking as well.

Off topic, but I'm curious why there are pictures of women on every article, if the articles are for men?

Men like women ;) and it makes site beautiful ;) but pictures is sort of randomly selected and needs tweaking ;)

thank you for suggestions, we had like the big 300pix wide box, and it didn't work too well, now we added these pics and adsense skycraper, but still no big changes; never hit over 30 clicks per day and we got like 500-600 pageviews per day; and about 200-300 uniqes per day :>

That's why I wonder, maybe need to change some different colors, say, from blue to green for the adsense so it would stand out?

    p.s. thank you Lynn Terry

    Test this:

Add a horizontal Link Unit across the top of the page, just above the main content area.

I'd be curious to see how that works for you!

Ok, we will check it out for a few days ;)
