When they ask for donation, I ask "where is my profile?" ... I tell them I want a page before I give any money, lol.

Wiki is hard. You need to be extremely relevant and have top quality links. Spam will get deleted.

Trying to write entries on Wikipedia is indeed hard, especially if you stray from the Wiki's standards in formatting and referencing the entry. Even if you follow the standard, if you present any controversial topic (politics, for example) you post will likely get edited or deleted. You certainly can't link the post to any junky affiliate page or spam site.

The easiest way to do something with Wiki is to either 1) hire somebody who knows how to post to do it, or 2) create and post a quality article off the site, and then edit a related Wiki page by adding an external link to your article. The quality article should be written nearly at Wiki's standards, so Wiki will likely accept the link if they check it. But since it's on your web site or property, you can have a link or banner on the quality article page that sends the reader to your money site/affiliate landing page.

Absolutely not! Looks thin/junky and non-authoritative. If you want to promote this page via Wikipedia, write a quality Wiki-type article on the main niche, put it on a wordpress.com or similar property that links to your target site. Add a link to an existing wiki page pointing to the quality article. It's 2-step and roundabout, yes, but you'll get some follow-through traffic from Wiki visitors, from a link that stays up.

Give the source of your writing and never load the paper in the form of opinions or research results, you own that has not been published elsewhere. The Encyclopedia is a tertiary source that bases his writings on primary and secondary sources.
