How to rephrase content ?

    Hello All !

    I was wondering the other day..if for some reason someone wanted to use an article from an other site, but wants to " rephrase it " , is there some kind of program that would do so ?

    This would prevent the penalty of duplicate content from google.

    There are programs out there to do this. IMO, most of them at least border on blackhat techniques (though I could easily be wrong). I wouldn't try it on a site I cared about until I was very confident in the software I was using.

    pretty much you need to write it yourself. There are no good ones atleast that I have ever seen

    You still need to be careful. If you are deriving content from unique material you could end up having those people demanding that you stop rewriting and.or republishing their content. Sometimes there is only one source for material. In such cases, I would avoid rewriting their content without first reviewing their use of information and access agreements.

    For instance, we have websites where the information is published under the Creative Commons license. That allows you to freely rewrite and reprint the information as long as credit is given back to the site.

    We have other websites where content is published under traditional copyright and each article bears a public declaration: "This information may not be republished in part of in full in any form whatsoever without . . . prior written consent . . . . The article on this page may not be harvested and reprinted on any website. However, we encourage links back to this or any other public article on our website."

    You should always respect the wishes of the author and the originating website. Having said that, website owners also need to realize they cannot impose their copyright and reprint rules on other people's work.
