How To Sell Advertising Space On My Blog?

Hi,

I've got some space down the sidebar of one of my wordpress blogs and I would like to be able to allow other people to advertise in the space. I was just wondering if anyone knows of any good blog advertising networks?

I realise that I could just put a graphic there advertising that the space is available but the only problem with this is that I want to be able to reach out to other people, by that I mean that advertisers might not be able to find my site whereas on some networks they have a marketplace where people can look through all the sites that are selling advertising space.

I've looked at blogads.com but I think they only work with sites that have a minimum of 1000 hits per day.

For starters you should work on gettin e m 1000 u/v a day. Then it would be reasonable to sell some ad space. Otherwise there is no point in having an advertisement on your tinyass little blog.

Sell Blogroll links, and OIO publisher above is a very amazing system once you get the hang of it. The less eyes you have on your site, the more work you have to do to get clicks/transactions for the items you have. A lot easier to do basic SEO than basic ad campaigns. Just like the above two stated.

 

Wow I didn't know you need 1k hits daily to be able to sell ad space in a blog. Alexa must be in the 20k

 

As far as Blogs advertising network is concern , you can search on Google for banner kind of advertisement over the websites, and it will give you a lot of list ....

 

My site gets about 60,000 uniques per month which averages at about 2,000 hits per day but I don't get them spread out so evenly - I might have 500 hits most days and then some days have 5,000 hits. Do you think they would still accept me?

Do you own the domain name? I was under the impression that you could not put ads on wordpress blogs... If you can put ads on there, I would be interested in the answer as well!

 

Have you tried selling ad space in the For Sale section of DP? Site sounds good so you could command a pretty decent rate.

 

Buysellads.com is really good, they offer competitive buyers too. I usually get 2 to 5 dollars per ad on any website over PR 3. If your niche is really competitive, than you can make a lot more per adspace and click. Good luck.
