how to use social bookmarking to drive traffic

i have listened that social bookmarking is good way to bring traffic.but i don't know how?for example if we take digg.i registered account with them.but how do people know what i am digging?do i have to submit my posts?what is the procedure?which are the popular social bookmarking sites?

you can either submit your blog or just a blog post. in digg, after you submit a story people will vote for your site and if they find it useful it will go to frontpage. once in frontpage, you will receive a lot of readers. if you submit garbage, your site/blog will be banned...

but thats only for digg. other social bookmarking sites are not that strict..
for easy submission, try add this

to drive traffic, post interesting content!

 

Also digg traffic is mostly useless since they hardly click on ads and u end bringing your server down (if you are using a shared server)

 

It doesnt really matter if you get put on the front page or not as it's a backlink to your site from a PR9.

 

i have had 2 of my sites on the front page of Digg.com,Delicious and Netscape. It still continues to get traffic from them sources nearly a year after it was on the front page there. I get 27,0000 uniqes a month from Stumpleupon all together between 2 sites.

what i did is just went crazy and got loads of peaple stumbling/digging ect.. Then i purchased aload of blog posts from DP here with the links to digg ect..

Traffic picked up very quickly

 

I´ve seen this awesome list from KNEB, in his thread in this forum titled "How I received +30,000 visitors in one short month"...

...it looks amazing, and very well explained, but where can I find someone to submit my site to all these sites?

 

i've received 35K uniques from digg this year, but its not easy, if your content is not really good or even remotely close to spam it will get buried, meaning, no matter how many people like it, if more dislike it then it goes no where.

 

Getting on the DIGG front page involves more than just submitting. It also takes some friends to also digg your page, so that it already has a good headstart to get more diggs. And the bury feature is real hard to get around.

Stumbleupon is a lot easier to get traffic from - though the basic requirement there is that your content be interesting to people.

 

i want to know mostly which topics are got digged in digg.com.i will be careful if i know this things and do right thing in right way.can i get a list of social bookmarking websites?

I haven't gotten much traffic from using Digg or delicious tagging, but I have been seeing some good results from mybloglog.com. Obviously, it's mostly geared toward bloggers, but with a bit of work every day for a while, it can get some traffic going.

 

Stumble and digg can drive up traffic so fast to your site.You should try.

Laxmi, in order to use stumpleupon you need to download the tool bar and stumble your site. The networks explain what you must do, its not very complicated you just have to read them and open up accounts, so get started already .
