    I think there is some value - but personally really can't stand Twitter, it's just 'white noise' to me... One ef those over-hyped phenomenons that will become a victim of it's own success....

    You have to choose only some social networks because if you want to take advantage of these, and you have to be a constant user without spamming them. I would choose Digg, Reddit, SU and Mixx.

    facebook, myspace and orkut can be quite useful for your website. Instead, you can either create a community or a fan page as per rule to generate the traffic for your website.

    Social networking website seems to be one of the best platform to market your product online but here strategy plays a huge role as just entering and marketing your product will not do any good for you as you require patience and constant working in such platforms. You should build your reputation first to make most out of those platforms.
