Just wondering how you would like a video tutorial to be
    1- Video with audio(person speaking)
2-Video and text(person explaining through text)
need this for my photoshop tutorial site ;)

    Hi, Theozard!
    Very interesting topic [IMG]

In my humble opinion, the second option would be more useful, for there are many non-English speakers, who would probably have difficulty understanding the whole text if it is in audio-format. In addition: I believe it is in most of the cases (not only in reference to a foreigner's needs) easier to comprehend a text through reading rather than through listening.

    Have a nice day! [IMG]

hey man, thanks for the reply..i was just wondering..isnt it kinda time consuming reading it and everything? or would you actually read the text...i think video tutorials are made for people who like it short and fast..otherwise books are the best way out...but again if i have text..umm..just a addition
What do you think now :)

IMHO Audio + Video + subtitles would be best... atleast for non-english speakers (like me ]:) )

Subtitles are good if some of your target audience might be deaf (this is also compassionate, and the good will might draw business). I think first and foremost, have video, plus audio - it's easier to get it into people's heads.

    Hey,Theozard,

Follow my advice - do it the way you like it. The way the tutorial in question will apply best to your target audience's characteristics and preferences. Thus you can ensure the success of your project. What do you think?:)

you can do a lot more with audio, but it is kinda hard to make it sound formal and professional if you do it yoursel. I like audio but be sure to write out an outline of the script first...just as long as you don't stutter too much. All the videos without sound are about 1/2 as interesting IMO.

Written looks more like a powerpoint.
