How would you search for this?

Overture doesn't handle hyphens, so I can't check on what keyword would be better.

Would you look for e-cards or ecards?

I hope many people reply so I can get an idea

    Thanks!

Try the wordtracker trial I'd say. Also search for it in Google with ""'s and see what other sites think is most searched for.

That is exactly my problem. There is a huge difference when using or not the hyphen. So, I need to know which one to target. I would also think that "e-cards" is the right one, but why are there so many pages with "ecards"?

Targeting both of them will be very difficult

The hyphen is automatically inserted. Just use "e card" or ecard and that should work.

Like so many others I would search for e-cards. I know when I am communicating with friends I type email since easier for me to type but I consider e-mail correct.

I might have some pages with ecards in title, description, headings etc and others with hyphen. I have used note cards on a site and notecards on sitemap. Was listed for both until just recently. I need to look into that one.

I would search for ecards; because I'm lazy. But if I were to optimize; I would use something like:

Frymans Freaky E-cards - Funny free Ecards

Something along that line; using both, in text as well.
