    You need to go through Google's site Heatmap

    Your adsense need alot of work to be done if you want to get some good CTR. You are using only on lower right corner which is not enough, but good as a starter.

    Try to use them in start of your content/posts, also try to use 250x250 when your post ends.

    IMHO, I would take the border off and also make it the same color; ("open air", i think) it would blend in with the rest of the page better. You can also add two more boxes and one link if you like...
