http 404 ... google says its in my sitemap but its not

    Hi all,

    I checked the sitemap status for google today and I noticed I had http errors

    Google says some pages I moved to another directory (don't ask why )
    give a 404 error and are listed in my sitemap.xml

    Right after I moved the pages I updated the sitemap and uploaded it to my server and pinged google. Ichecked a day later if google downloaded it and they did.

    At that time there were no errors but now two weeks later google says the links are still in the sitemap...ehm read again google

    I checked if I really uploaded the sitemap and I did.

    are they, somehow, using old data?

    the serps are not what they really are too. I.e google says I list at pos 9 while I actuall list at pos 30.

    I'm confused...
