    If you are using Squidoo try to make sure your lens is as unique as possible and incorporate plenty of original photos and videos.

    Squidoo is a great site that is a bit like HubPages. I recently published a review of squidoo that you might find relevant or useful. Personally, I think Squidoo is much better than HubPages; Squidoo also was not as hard hit by the google farmer / google panda update, whereas HubPages was devastated (probably because it was overrun with spammers and self-promoters).

    A bit of warning though...if you're just going to post duplicate content or spam, don't bother with Squidoo. They'll delete your stuff and ban you. Users like me are constantly policing the site and reporting spam pages, and they don't let it slip through.

    Plus, if you want the site to work, you need to network with other users and get them to approve your work or you won't ever see much traffic. The site is made for legitimate users who want to actually put in work to create real content. If you want to do this, you'll love squidoo and find it works very well and is very flexible and generous. However, if you want a cheap, or quick way to get traffic, don't bother.

    Hubpages have nofollow tags to their links to start with and you need to meet 2 criteria in order to change the tag to dofollow..the author's score must be above 75 and the individual Hub must have a HubScore over 40.On the other hand Squidoo link is absolutely dofollow .

    Squidoo is a great resource and definitely look to the comments above, especially "Cazort" for accurate information.

    I didn't see too many people point to web2.0 properties such as Blogger, Wordpress blogs, and Blogspot. These free blog resources are excellent backlinks for your site, if coupled with unique information. Just make sure to take the time and build these up slowly, before you know it you'll have a handful of quality "free" blogs that you can backlink to, which point at your money site. This will serve as a buffer between you main site and lower quality backlinks, while still passing the juice up the line :)
